Trip to Bandipur Village Inn
Getting to Bandipur Village Inn is easy. Nestled in the middle hills of Nepal, the inn is conveniently accessible from major cities: it’s about 75 kilometers from Pokhara, 145 kilometers from Kathmandu, and 75 kilometers from Bharatpur. The journey to Bandipur itself is a scenic treat, with winding roads that offer breathtaking views of the Himalayas and the lush greenery of the Nepalese countryside.
Booking and Checking In:
Booking can be done by calling the property while you can book from online platforms too. The former would be cheaper while the latter will be easier if you don’t speak Nepali. I called them to book.
Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted. The check-in process was swift and efficient, taking no more than a few minutes. I was delighted to find that my room rate was 5000 NPR. It was very reasonable.
Where I Stayed
My room was clean and well-maintained. It featured a queen bed with two soft pillows. Two pillows. A little disappointing as it was a double bed.
One of the highlights was the balcony, which offered a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding hills and valleys. The fresh hill air and the serene agricultural landscape gave a stunning feel.
Food
The inn’s restaurant, though modest in size, was spotlessly clean and offered a cozy dining experience. I decided to try veggie and ordered veg thukpa, along with a cup of milk tea. The meal was delicious, and the service was prompt and courteous.
Fun in Tundikhel
In the evening, I took a leisurely walk to Tundikhel, a popular open ground in Bandipur. The area was bustling with activity, and I was fortunate enough to catch a lively football match. There were some local spectators and eaters. While I don’t really like chatpate, I ate it to strike a conversation with the vendor. The vendor was an inspiring woman. Hardworking bee, someone you find in the Nepali hills.
My stay at Bandipur Village Inn was a pleasant experience overall. The staff’s hospitality and the comfortable room made for a memorable visit. Although I experienced some issues with the Wi-Fi connectivity, it did not significantly detract from my stay. The inn provided a perfect blend of comfort and local charm.
